Mary Oliver’s “Alligator Poem” is about the speaker having a moment of consciousness, a second chance, and the importance of realization. In the poem, she was using the nature to get her point across. After nearly losing her life, it made she realizes the beauty within her life. Her point of view within herself dramatically changed, when she had near-to-death experience and the perfective of life also have changed. Some people may be pessimistic such as, “I hate my life, why some of people born with a privileged life but not mine?” However, my next question was, how hard is your life?
