These authors of this article look at the impact that mass incarceration has caused problems in the community where they live. Many may argue that criminals should be taken away and the key is thrown away. However, think that this is incorrect. Moreover, after these criminals pay their debt to society they will return to the same community where they were taken from and cause more trouble. Essentially, during this increase in crime in the United States, a lot of laws were passed by people of color in hopes of protecting the community of minorities.
