We all have that thing that we claim we can’t live without like our phones, money, or shoes. We become so focused in those thing that we forget the real important things in life like our relationship with our loved ones. We let those things take over our lives and keep us away and to distracted from our loved ones. materialism ruins important aspects of life like marriages.New research published in the Journal of Couple & Relationship Therapy has shown that the more materialistic a marriage, the less happy they're likely to be. The study looked at more than 1700 married couples, and it found that those with a priority on money and material goods had lower levels of marital satisfaction. This could be avoided by simply paying attention to your loved one and realizing that they are much more important than money shoes or whatever you cherish.
