Maturity is something that everybody develops through their course of life time. Maturity is important to develop since people expect you to be mature as you are growing up and that demonstrates that someone taught you, like parents who teach you things we should do or not do. In the novel, Ender’s game. Ender’s maturity level increases by the situations he faces, learning how to give up people he loved the most and fighting for something that he believed in.
Ender’s maturity level rises as he is growing up and the experience he goes through. When Ender was given promotion to be a commander and he didn’t want “to be like many commander” that didn’t see the “younger boys” they were scared so they were “always in the back” (pg157). After school, Ender was late to go home because he got his Monitor remove so he hustled. But when he walking and he saw Stilton and his group trying to call him names because he was a third, but he knew this wasn’t the first time so he thought in his mind either “I win this now” or “I will fight every day” and it will “get worse and worse every day” (pg7). Ender knew that either he steps us and solve this problem or he has to face every day and he probably will get hurt, so he rather does it right. So he decided to fight so he doesn’t have to fight anymore. When Stilton was on the ground “then Ender looked coldly at the other” and said “you could beat me” but remember “what I do to people who hurt me” pg (7). Even when Ender was scared to punched Stilton, he knew that if he didn’t get over with his know he will have to face it tomorrow. Ender showed maturity by stepping up to fight for himself and even when he was worried that he would get injured but he believed in himself, because he was no one else was going to save
