These three principles explain why individual houses group together to form chapters: Houses joined together form chapters so they can share their experiences, strategies and ambitions Houses established by following our chapter conditions ensure the continued health and safety of residents Houses supported by larger chapters enable growth and increased numbers of individual recovery houses Overall, this ensures safe homes for recovering addicts without long wait times and overcrowding issues. Principle 1: Shared Experiences and Shared Strategies are Important Mears Recovery Services encourages each resident to share their experiences, strengths, weakness, hopes and dreams with other residents so that they might make the journey for the other residents easier. In our program individuals who are recovering from drug or alcohol dependency work to overcome their dependency, while they assist other residents with similar problems. We strive to maintain houses that provide a recovering individual who has not yet developed the skills they need to resist their addictions and maintain a lifestyle that is both productive and rewarding.
