Correct nutrition is very important for the health and improvement of the sports person. However, some athletes focus on improving their time or strength, while neglecting their own health in the process. Many athletes and bodybuilders follow poor nutritional practices, with the desire to improve their performance. It is important to remember that we all have our own individual health needs, so we must prioritize the health of the individual before trying to improve performance. This athlete amongst many has contributed to the meat myth. This is far from the truth, as now many athletes are becoming top performers due to the elimination of meat from their diet. One of UK’s top marathon runners, Sally Eastall, is a great example of a successful meatless athlete.
