Robert Castle has stated that the Truman Show demonstrates and individuals struggle to become his true self. The role of media causes Truman to not become his true self. The media is so intertwined and amused by Truman’s life that they do not consider Truman’s actual life. The role of the media only cares about their own amusement and nothing else. Since the media only cares for their own amusement they do not think to consider Truman’s life. I think media is too weak to stand up to media and what they think is wrong. The audiences become scared because they think others will not do the same as them. It is kind of like peer pressure in a sort of way. This kind is called media pressure because they think that the media will not accept their
