Germany is a country with rich history, starting from the Medieval Times. This country is home to many musical prodigies including two of the most inspirational and famous composers, Jonathan Sebastian Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven. Their musical styling are so unique that thousands of people have tried to simulate their music for hundreds of years. Another cultural shift was created by Martin Luther, a German professor who created the printing press, and protested against the Catholic Church by writing the “95 Theses” about the church’s corruption. This lead to the creation of the Lutheran Church that many Germans are members of in present day. Lastly the famous German clothing brand such as Hugo Boss that sells clothes in various countries. …show more content…
This town had architecture from the Medieval Times and a large yellow church that the Bishop of Germany preached in. Limburg is a small sector of the rich culture and history that Germany is based upon. I was greatly heartbroken to witness the deterioration and shame that Native Germans had on their culture. This first began with the playing of live music at the festival which, is very untraditional. The lack of tradition was not only horrific but, the band performing at this festival only sang American music that was sung in English, one of the songs included “Dream On” by Aerosmith. The uniqueness of German composition was greatly ignored and underappreciated. My Aunt Manuela, who attended the festival with me, was discussing with her friends about how Germans are “scared” to listen to German Music because, of the incident that happened decades ago called the“Holocaust”. The fear of appreciating the uniqueness of Germany grew causing the American Pop Culture to influence younger generations because of the non-dictatorship history of America. This fear caused unique aspects of Germany to deteriorated and simulate into American
