How would it feel to be the person that changes everything? In the Historical novel Audacity by Melanie Crowder, the main character Clara, is a young Russian Jewish immigrant. Clara is never able do what is normal for most people. Clara is not allowed to read, write, and learn. This is all result from a tyrannical father. Throughout the novel Clara realizes the hardships of being a woman. That most women don't have a voice the way Clara does, and most women don’t want to get involved.
