Ashley Benson would be perfect for the role of Melinda Sordino in the movie Speak because she is very artistic and has many aspirations. Ashley Benson is multi talented and can play most roles that anyone tosses her. She has dedication and love towards her acting which will help her be able to play Melinda better. The movie Ratter directed by Branden Cramer shows that Benson is capable in playing the role of Melinda. Melinda is shown as a shy girl who’s been isolated from her classmates because of a traumatic event that has left her scarred. The only thing that’s keeping her going is her art assignment. Heather is an extremely energetic and active girl. She is new to the school and wants to join a bunch of clubs. There’s a specific club she wants to join called the Marthas. The Marthas are involved in decorating and designing things around the school. Heather was very manipulative. She was friends with Melinda, just so she could help her around school and get into the Marthas. Once the Marthas started liking Heather, Heather ended her friendship with Melinda. She was also very insensitive because after leaving Melinda all alone she came back to ask Melinda to help her decorate for prom just so she could please the Marthas. Megan Park played a role in the movie “A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song” that relates to this role. In the movie Megan Park played as Beverly. Beverly was very shrewd and made her step-sister lip sync for her to impress a famous singer. She and her stepmom forced and blackmailed her step sister into helping her snag a record deal among talented producers. These two parts relate because Megan Park’s “A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song” part is very similar to Heather’s character.
