In the Crucible wrote by Arthur Miller the mental madness of the Salem witch trials that have explored in good points. There are hypothesis as why the witch trails had became, the popular one would be the sick little girls and their childhood. And there were other points such as Abigail Williams affair with John Proctor, and the secret hate that the nieghbors held against one another and the deep economical differences among the citizens of Salem Village. From the old days it was known that little young girls in Massachusetts were given a small amount of freedom or had no freedom to be a kid. In Act three in the Crucible the group of girls was told to go see the judges to defend themselves against the was they were acting. They wanted to prove that they were not guilty, Abigail and the group of girls is just being normal. Abbby acted if Marry Warren sent the evil spirt and began to talk to the spirit. "Oh Mary, this is a black art to change your shape. No, I cannot, I cannot stop my mouth; its God's work I do." The group of girls dtarted doing what doing what Abby did. And the fall accusations got many inncont people into trouble. The accusation began hating each other in the community. Two of the Charcters in the book was Giles Corey and Thomas Putnam fight (agure) each other over the land. Corey states that he bought it from the Nurse named Goody. But Putnam said he owns it, and the nurse has no right to sell it to no one. Putnams daughter accused Goerge Jacobs of being a witch, Corey states thtat Putnams only wants Jacob's land.
