Racism can be described as a “belief in peoples’ abilities based on their race, hence one race may be viewed as being more superior to the other races.” As a result of racism, some ethnical groups are always looked down upon, and hatred towards them is developed. Due to racism, there might be conflicts and wars as there will be no harmony between communities. Racism can thus be viewed as violence and poor handling of people considering that their origin and the belief of some races are always above others (Blauner, 1972).
