Mexican Culture Analysis

Between my cultural and the Mexican culture we use different products, but with those products we have similar practices, and the perspectives behind the products and practiced are quite similar.One difference between my culture and the Mexican culture is that a lot of Mexican people use telephone booths but in my culture we use cellphones more. In my culture most people talk on cellphones to communicate whereas in the movie I saw the mom and son talking on the telephone booth once a week to talk. The perspective behind this practice is to stay connected with family members in both cultures. One similarity between my culture and the Mexican culture is we both use phones to communicate to our family members. I thought it was cool that you can communicate using a telephone booth to another country like someone from the United States calling someone from Mexico. I can relate to the people in the movie because sometimes it’s hard not to communicate to your loved ones without seeing them for a long period of time. When I communicate to my family members and friends out of country or state, I stay connected with them. Another example is in the movie was that there was a mexican radio playing in the background. I thought the radio was funny because it made jokes about the society. One thing I noticed in both of our cultures is that we listen to the radio while we travel. Also we both listen to the radio to stay connected with our surroundings and to know what is happening around us. The last example why I think my culture and the mexican culture is similar is because both of our cultures watch sports to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy watching football with my family, and I am pretty sure it is the same for Mexican people. In the movie one of the my favorite parts was when Carlitos and a bunch of other illegal mexican immigrants enjoy and spend time watching a soccer match. In my culture we do the same thing with football.
