Man and food have had a binding connection ever since Adam and Eve. The forbidden apple, the last supper, one can pick the turnaround events in the world and trace it back to food. And why not? It's after all for food that we ultimately live. "There is no love more sincere than love of food" said George Bernard Shaw, and one couldn't agree more. In an unfair world where even a minute's peace is actually considered as a boon, a scrumptious meal brings you the luxury of eternal bliss in many moments. While a materialistic possession which might rob us of a fortune, food, in a mere dollar, can bring the satisfaction of all the hard work that you would have put in for earning that fortune. We burn a hole through our energy, time and resources, just in that tryst to fulfil man's two basic needs, a peaceful sleep and a tummy full of good food to get good sleep.

Mexicans seem to understand this really well. As food is not just an everyday activity, it is a religion for them. Only someone absolutely passionate about the beauty, that is food, can come up with an amalgamation of Mesoamerican indigenous cooking with European, especially with a great influence from Spanish cuisine which brings the best of both worlds together.
