As the sun rises-up Davey, a 13-year-old boy that can't wait to slip out of the ramshackle hotel room he’s sharing with his family. After he leaves the room he decided to go explore the little island, which is kind of like a little hamlet, when all sudden he came across a minny beach. Reading Michael Northrop’s Surrounded by Sharks wasn't very exciting, it started off very sluggish, and confusing, but towards the end it was exciting, and a lot quicker, Especially when he was in the water surrounded by sharks.
Davey is a medium height for a 13-year-old boy. He has medium length black hair and bright blue sparkling eyes. Davey can’t see unless he has his black bulging glasses on. Until Davey went exploring a little bit, then all of a sudden as he was trampling through the green grass and bushes, then he came across a little beach. Davey liked to read a lot so he had his book on him and decided to read. Then he started looking around the beach when he came across a sign that said no swimming. Davey looked at the sign then decided just to put his feet in the water. Then Davey kept going deeper and deeper, swoosh the waves carried Davey got caught in a current that carried him 2 miles away from the island, after swimming for a while, he was very haggard. Michael Northrop, the author of Surrounded by Sharks did a fantastic job describing Davey’s appearance and personality. It inspired me to follow the rules because if Davey would have he wouldn't have risked his life. Surrounded by Sharks started off boring and dull, but I'm glad I kept reading it because towards the end it was exciting. So if you like books that involve sharks and swimming this is the book for
