Michel Gondry is known as one of the most versatile film director, screenwriter and producer of all time. Many of his works are well known and can be easily identifiable as having a specific style. Many television advertisements show this specific style such as the ads for Smirnoff, NatWest and HP. Gondry creates many other amazing works but specifically those ads show different examples of film tricks. They are all engaging and challenge the audience to understand what is going on and what the advertisement is portraying as a message. This is the whole strategic approach Gondry goes for as it’s different to the standard advertisements many see day-to-day and ignore because they are too generic and boring.
