Out of the North, South, and Middle colonies the middle colonies had everything people needed. The middle colonies were made up of New York, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. New York was found 1626 and Delaware was found in 1638 both colonies were found by Peter Minuit. New Jersey was found in 1664 and was granted to Lord John Berkeley and Sir George Carteret. Pennsylvania was found in 1682 by William Penn. The Middle Colonies have a variety of types of people because they needed people for certain jobs and they had people for religion. The have farmers, quakers, women, gentlemen, mennonites, lutherans,dutch calvinist, and presbyterians. They are also conveniently in the middle of everything. The Middle Colonies soil was so good that they had more than one cash crop. So because of this they are growing numerous things at once and this is a huge benefit because they are making a bigger profit.The Middle colonies are growing corn, tobacco, barley, oats, and wheat. During this time tobacco is a huge cash crop so they are making money off of it. On their land they also have livestock like cattle. In New Jersey they have horses and with the horses colonist are starting to practice racing horses as well. From the cattle they got pork and beef to eat. Also because they have fertile soil there products were more nutritious. The winters are also milder so they grow crops longer and start planting sooner than the other colonies.
