First, I would like to give a warm aloha to parents, family, friends, teachers, and my fellow classmates of the class of 2017 as we celebrate the end to our middle school "careers", but the beginning of the next chapter in our lives. Before we get thrown into a sea of more responsibility, opportunity, and sadly more homework. Thank you all for being in attendance this evening. I apologize in advance for the length of my speech. So sit back and relax and listen to the speech I'm about to share with you all. To be completely honest, when I first sat down to write this speech, I was clueless on where to begin. My heroes, my inspirations, my two hardworking and loving parents, Diana and Clarence Wallace. Thank you both for allowing and encouraging me to chase my dreams. Thank you for working hard each day and night to make sure I have a roof over my head, clothes on my back, food on the table for me to eat, and a good education. Even when I begin to doubt myself and say "I can't, you both are always there to wipe my tears off my cheeks and tell me to just keep pushing forward and assure me that "I can do anything I put my mind to". I know it hasn't always been a smooth ride with me, but thank you for always being there for me through the thick and thin. Tonight, as we find ourselves as eighth graders on the edge of graduation, I ask all of you to remember back to August 2014, when we first walked into Sacred Hearts School holding bags full of school supplies afraid for what was ahead. Who knows where all of those supplies went. I remember by the end of that school year we were all depending on finding a pencil on the floors of the science classroom. Look at us now. We had no way of knowing in what condition we would be sitting here on this day. From that time to now, we have made unexpected friendships and grown away from ones we thought could withstand the strongest storm and would last forever. We have faced so many obstacles together as a class,we became professional procrastinators, overslept, under slept, laughed pass midnight, cried tears of joy and despair, and then stayed up all night just to do it all over again the next day. We are a pretty strong group. By being here today, it is clear that all of our hard work and stress has completely paid off. We did it! On the way we were touched by amazing friends, inspirational teachers, loving family members, and some terrific human beings . We got into some trouble. A lot of trouble. We met some random strangers, stayed up pass midnight for no practical reason other than the fact we haven't finished our favorite tv series on Netflix. Despite all of that, we made it to
