Everyone in their life has faced barriers in their life. In my life when I was in 6th grade I moved to a new school. I had know friends their and was a in a strange new world with no friends and no idea of what to expect. I was starting out in a private school, during middle school with no friends.
I had been going to public school for my entire life and had never thought of going to private school. My parents had saved up enough money so that when I had graduated elementary school there was a possibility of going to private school for middle school. During
5th grade I took a shadow day at Saint Stephens Episcopal School where I went with a student and went through the everyday life of a student at Saint Stephens. My parents let me choose if I wanted to go to

Middle school is rough but I used my determination and I adapted to my schedule and now it is normal to stay up late studying.
School is rough without any friends and that is what I had to go through my first year of middle school. Saint Stephens schools kids from kindergarten to 12th grade so most of the kids there had been friends their entire life. When I came I was the outsider and no one was seeking to make a friend. I found a group of kids who I would sit with at lunch and who I tried to make friends with. At lunch they would mostly talk among themselves and talk about things that happened when I was not around in elementary school at Saint Stephens. I used my persistence to not give up and over time I have become very good friends with those people.
Everyone can use Jackie Robinson's nine values to overcome barriers. My barrier was moving to a new school but everyone has faced a challenge in their life even if they do not relies it. Jackie Robinson's nine values can help all different types of barriers he overcame a racial barrier and I came over a social barrier but all types of barriers can be overcome you just have to try using Jackie Robinson's nine
