Mike Webster was a famous American football player who played center for the Pittsburg Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs from 1974 to 1990. He is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and was inducted in the class of 1997. Nicknamed “Iron Mike”, Webster was the anchor to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offensive line as the team made a run of four Super Bowl victories from 1974 to 1979 and is considered by some as the best center in NFL history. The death of Mike Webster has changed the way the game of football is looked at for the past 8-10 years. Mike Webster died as a legend in the NFL history books, but also he has died a legend in the study of medical science of neurology, the study of the brain.
