Eulogy

Miranda Rueda died September 3, 2017, four days before her 15th birthday. She was born on September 7, 2002 in Bingham County Blackfoot, Idaho. Growing up Miranda was a playful, lively, kind, and selfless person. She always put others before herself and always tried to make others feel welcomed. By the time she was four Miranda would always ask her father to take her to the Bingham Memorial Nursing Home so she could talk to the elders that had little to no visitors. If she ever saw somebody who was upset, her main priority was figuring out how to make that person laugh. Miranda was a compassionate, lively, generous, witty, and original child, and she carried those attributes up until her final days.

That led to her love for Science class in school. She enjoyed learning about biology and anatomy. Not only that, but she also enjoyed learning about astronomy. Miranda was fascinated with learning about other planets and the possibilities of life in space. MIranda enjoyed all the subjects in school even though she struggled with math. Miranda thought that math was a very important subject to learn, but she didn’t enjoy the fact that math had so many rules to follow.

Miranda had numerous goals in life, but her main goal was to become a reconstructive plastic surgeon and join Doctors Without Borders. She always wanted to help others in need. Her plan was to go to third world countries and help children born with physical birth defects like cleft lips and palettes. Another goal of hers was to become a humanitarian and go to the United Nations for helping people suffering from human trafficking. Miranda was very passionate about helping others.

Miranda would have liked to be remembered as a person who enacted a change in the world. Although she wasn’t able to complete her goals, she will be remembered as a person who showed people how to be compassionate and loving. She will be remembered as person who wasn’t afraid to stand up for what is right. She will be remembered as the person who enacted change in the lives of others.
