Of Mice and Men is an example of Modernist literature. Of Mice and Men shows examples of Modernist characteristics, those are of chaos and alienation. Chaos is being shown from the very beginning when both Lennie and George were chased out of Weed, then again during Lennie and Curly’s fight when Curly decided to attempt to beat up Lennie and Lennie ended up breaking Curly’s hand, then again when Lennie killed Curly’s wife, and finally when George had to kill Lennie.
