Our beautiful country is one of honor, hope, and awe-inspirational. The United States has shown the world just how great our nation can be by climbing our way up from despair, and making a future for us. As said by Edgar Albert Guest, "He started to sing as he tackled the thing that couldn’t be done, and he did it." Due to early patriots, we have this hope and future to make something of ourselves. It's our duty as a nation to keep this patriotic spirit alive and show just how grateful we are for their actions, through our actions. Upon the death of her husband, she stepped up and took his place as gunner. She was awarded the highest honor for her bravery and patriotism by George Washington. Molly Pitcher, among others, are what led the United States to victory. The stories I have heard from grade school about the early patriots have given me a drive to carry on the legacy. The question is simple, though the answer is not, because there is no one solution. How do you keep the patriotic spirit alive? Well, here is my plan for tackling this: Participate in NHS, possibly joining the Army one day, and raising grateful children.
