The strengths that have helped the rise of the Mongolian Empire would propel it to be the most successful Empire in the ancient world. They were able to control over 16% of the planet, which is almost five times the size of the Roman Empire at its height, and this was before the new world was discovered. This meant they had tremendous power over the world’s main trading system, While the other empires of ancient times are great and part of the reason the world is as advanced as it is today, without the unity of the Mongols’ empire, a vast amount of knowledge that is currently available for us would not have existed.

Generally seeming to accept people from elsewhere the problem arises when the new people don’t accept the religion of Greece. The acceptance levels of each city-state varied widely, and while some made foreigners into slaves, in other places they were willing to accept them as friends. This partially depends on how heavily the city-states relied upon trade.
