On the story “ Monkey’s Paw” has a lot of foreshadowing and suspense which those two things make tension. Also which makes the story more interesting to the readers; other words for tension are anxiety and stress. Tension is what makes the reader want to read more and more. Books needs tension because it controls the the pacing of the story. People/ Readers find foreshadowing important because it gives you hints on what might happen next to a character. When authors gives you hints on what might happen next then that's when it creates suspense and tension all together.
