Moral courage can be shown greatly by people who can stand up for their moral beliefs. By examining endurance of Montag, we learn that someone who risks something will have a negative effect or consequence that would affect him and the society around him. Montag shows his endurance when, “There was a hiss like a great mouthful of spittle banging a red hot stove”(88). Obviously Montag is seen burning Beatty alive with a flamethrower, Montag risked getting caught by killing his boss and going on the run. In his perspective that was his only choice to make because he had just burned down his house and his wife voluntary walked out on him moments before.
