The book Fahrenhiet 451, by Bradbury is about how books that are banned and you are not allowed to read. Bradbury uses a lot of motifs to symbolize different things in their society. Three of the motifs are fire, mirrors and being both dead and alive. They are used the represent the people and the community that they live in. The motif of fire means both bad and good. The bad of fire is that burning books and the other thing is that sometimes people burn themselves with their books. The good about fire is giving new hope and getting rid of the bad.”Burn all,burn everything. Fire is bright and fire is clean.”(pg 60) This quote means that when you burn everything it is bright and it cleans all the bad and it cleans everything to be good again. Like when the city burns down from the bomb. It was getting rid of the bad so it would give a new start to the people. It’s more fantastic than any dream made or paid for in factories.” This quote says that if you were going to die fill your eyes of things that you like or things that you would not imagine . The world is a lot more interesting than their life. It brings new life and you could not pay for it and you can’t dream about it because you don’t see it. Its a lot better to see it then a dream.
