Motivation exists within almost all of us; whether it derives from money, power, fame, or success. In the show “Gilmore Girls,” Rory Gilmore, one of the two main characters on the show, is motivated primarily by success, a strive for knowledge, and family acceptance. She strives for success by constantly studying to achieve the grades she deems valid for acceptance into Harvard, continuing to do so into her college years. Also, she shows her passion for learning and acquiring knowledge by never putting down a book and for acceptance she looks to her peers and grandparents in her studies and social life.
