Mr. Charles Schade's Argument Analysis: Steel City High

The writer of the argument concludes that based on the presence of a specific person in a specific school’s musical programs, that school achieved some prosperity and they raise their musical instruments’ quality. So, for being successful Saluda school’s board has to bring that person to their school. However, this conclusion cannot be accepted as it is in that it rests on a number of premises all of which can be challenged in one way or another.
The first problem with the argument is that the writer assumes that Steel City High has won three regional band competitions because Mr. Charles Schade was the music director of that school. However, there is no evidence to prove that those winnings actually happened because of the presence of that person in that city. For example, maybe those winnings happened because of the presence of some talented students in that school. Or maybe those achievements happened because that school holds many classes in the music field and they made their students really professional in this field.

Charles Schade in all respects. However, there is no evidence to definitely prove that this is the case. Maybe raising the quality of those instruments related to a high budget of the high school and manager of that school to spend most part of that budget to improving musical instruments’ quality. Or maybe near of the Steel City High some stories exist which sold musical instruments at a less price.
A third problem with the argument is that the writer assumes that things remain the same over the years. However, in most cases, this is not true. Maybe during the past five years, the condition was in a way that can cause Mr. Charles Schade be successful but now that condition doesn't happen
