Everyone is born with the idea that money equals happiness. The believe that a slight raise in income will bring a huge amount of satisfaction. Endless wealth, with absolutely no restriction. While this may seem like paradise, it is just a fantasy. Acquiring a raise in income will bring only temporary happiness; yet, getting someone to pay an individual to do what they like could bring endless satisfaction(Cummings). In todays lecture, Will Cummings explained that happiness is not brought by wealth, but from performing something that we are passionate about. For this reason, I will be stating the main points brought by Mr. Cummings, what we should do to reach financial success in the future, and my personal view toward this idea. In fact, he explained that he was born in a wealthy family. His parents never struggle with money, and was raised in Beverly Hills during his early years. Mr. Cummings had everything from a luxurious home, wealth, and a brand new Mercedes SLS as his first car. However, he later explains that even though he had more things than the average teenager, he was not as happy as some people would assume. Mr. Cummings demonstrates that an average citizen can only gain a maximum amount of satisfaction from a monthly check, after the highest amount possible is reached the individual will need to gain happiness from other sources instead. He comes into conclusion that the average college student pursues a degree based on a salary basis, instead of pursuing his or her passion. To conclude, wealth does not equal happiness. In addition, Mr. Cummings gave some good tips on things we should do to reach
