The lead character in the movie The Incredibles is Mr. Incredible, he is the father within the incredible’s family and one of the most famous superheroes of his era that was known to be extraordinary at protecting the civilians of the city from villains or robbers. He is what drives the plot of the movie, his desire to continue to be a superhero even after his era has passed and society has moved passed the moment of wanting to be protected by superheroes. His glory days are the moments where he has felt wanted, productive and having a meaning for his life. Once that was taken away from him he no longer felt to have a purpose or to be happy because he had to blend in with the normal citizens which he did not identify with.
Everyone in his family has super powers that they have to disguise by having a normal lifestyle at home, school, and work. It is obvious after the superhero era ended, Mr. Incredible was the one that was mostly affected because he did not want to just settle in with his family but wanted to have both a family and a superhero life. His family is the main reason for him to continue to be under cover and yet it led him to be very unhappy.

Incredible suspicions and she began to notice the truth behind the “job promotions” Mr. Incredible has been having. This suspicion led her to figuring out that Mr. Incredible is in trouble at his new job, all of the cause from his obsession of living in the past. When Mr.Incredible was being held captive in the island, his family was in their way to save him but his capturer told him that his family was killed. The idea of his family being dead made him acknowledges that he had an obsession that had become more important than his family which he regretted because it had led to them being killed. He once again became the ideal father that our era wants, he is a father that acknowledges that he can not live without his family presence and
