"Muhammad Ali is a philanthropist, social activist, and professional boxer. An athlete who refused to join the army during a time of segregation. He walked away from one of the most-powerful positions in sports when he willingly was stripped of his heavyweight crown in 1967 for refusing to join the military during the Vietnam War. He took a stand for justice and equality for all people.
