It has been a huge problem that music education has dropped enrollment over the past years. I can say from my own experience that music education has changed throughout my schooling. I have always been a musical person and from my middle school through high school musical education has changed which could be a direct correlation to why enrollment has dropped. In middle school it was the cool thing to be in band. Everyone would line up to pick what instrument they would play and would want to be part of a school band. As each year went by more and more kids would drop out of band and once high school hit, hardly any students were still in band.
