Is it that easy to convince over 100 mutineers to change their mind in fighting for the army? Well that is something that Joshua Chamberlain had to do. The mutineers did not want to to fight in the army or did not serve their years they were supposed to serve. So to try and make them fight Chamberlain told them a very meaningful speech on how if they didn’t join this war they were going to lose and all possibly die. After analyzing this speech Chamberlain’s speech was very inspiring to the mutineers and many others reading this book.

One way viewing Chamberlain’s speech enhances his words is by his tone of voice. Chamberlain’s tone of voice in the movie is very calm and he talks quietly to the mutineers. This shows that Chamberlain does not have to shout or scream at the mutineers to get his point across towards them. Another way viewing Chamberlain’s speech enhances his words is that it shows the expression on the mutineers. At first the mutineers looked very angry when they first saw him, but at the end of his speech the mutineers expression kind of turned sad and it made it look like they actually cared about the speech. This proves viewing it is better because we didn’t know how the mutineers expression changed while reading the book. A final reason viewing Chamberlain’s speech enhances his words is that we find out Chamberlain starts to cry at the end of his speech. While reading the book we did not know that he was crying during the book because they do not specify that he is crying. An advantage of a book is that it is more detailed. It is more detailed because books usually tell you everything about the character unlike a movie. On the other hand there are also many disadvantages of reading a book instead of watching a movie. A disadvantage of reading a book is, you might not know all the emotions of a character. You might not be able to tell because sometimes books don’t tell you if a character is crying but if you watch a movie you are able to tell they are crying. There are also advantages of watching a movie instead of reading a book. One of those advantages are, is that you could relate to one of the characters. This could be an advantage because if you watching a movie and you see one of the characters doing the same thing that you do you could relate to them. A disadvantage of watching a movie instead of reading a book is some of the book could be cut out or not mentioned in the movie. This a disadvantage because your favorite part of the book could not be mentioned in the movie because it could make the movie too long or for some other reason. There are several disadvantages and advantages for both sides but most people would probably rather watch a
