Other than my immediate family, I have an enormous extended Hispanic family. The Hispanic culture never really played a huge part in any of our lives. When asked about it, my grandparents could never honestly explain why they let some of the traditions fade away. Other than my grandparents on my mom’s side of the family, no one speaks Spanish. The most Hispanic tradition that my family partakes in is making tamales during the Christmas holiday. Holiday have always been very special to me. I have never been much into sports besides the two year I played soccer in elementary school, and to be honest, it was just for the snacks they passed out at the end of the games. Arts are a very big part of my cultural identity. I am constantly reading wherever I go/am, whether on my kindle or a physical copy. Lord of the Rings was the book that made me obsessed with reading and it only expanded into my other genres of fiction. Along with literature I am highly obsessed with movies. Indies and horror to be precise. Growing up, movies were always a part of my life. My parents were always adding new/old movies to their already eclectic collection. I enjoy wearing skinny jeans, flannel, and converses. I get my looks from other people, whether in person, on TV, or in a magazine. I have never had my own mind when it came to fashion. I see something that I like and then I wear it. I enjoy going to different music festivals such as Bonnaroo and Coachella. It feels so amazing to be surrounded by so many people that share the same music tastes as
