My greatest contribution was selflessly joining the United States Military. In 2010 I enlisted in the Army to defend the country's freedom against the global threat of terrorism. Throughout the four years I spent in the military, I learned many things that have made me a much better person from the experiences. Not only does it make me proud to say that I served the country in a way only few people do, but to say that the skills obtained through this experience has made me a better person. As a team leader of an infantry unit it was my job to be decisive and an excellent critical thinker while under extreme pressure. Time and time again I was able to prove that there was never a challenge I could not take charge and lead my team through.
