My high school doesn’t have a lot of Hispanics and in the AP classes that I take, I am the only Hispanic in the class, so I haven’t been able to surround myself with other Hispanics that care about the same things I do. My schools doesn’t have any clubs for Hispanics or any organizations for fellow Hispanics that want to work together to benefit the community, but in college, I plan to join a club called ‘Hacer,’ which is a Hispanic association for cultural enrichment at Rice in order to finally surround myself with fellow Hispanics that care about the community and each other. Although in high school I wasn’t able to find a group to help me contribute directly to the Hispanic community, I have contributed service to my entire community, which
