There are many things in life that can change the course of a person’s life. It can either make a positive impact or a negative impact on a person’s life. It’s always best to have the positive impact though. Changes in life like these can change you both physically and mentally for the rest of your life depending on the severity of the situation. For me I have had a positive experience that has changed my life forever and that is realizing that I wanted to go to college. Also over all just trying harder in school. School has never been really easy for me. In elementary school I was a slow reader and I wasn’t up to speed with all the other kids which made me fall behind. My mom would make me sit down and do all of my homework and not let me go outside and play until it was all done. I felt like everyone else was just plane better then I never realized that they were just working more than me. In 7th grade I started out the year confident that I was going to get good grades but vary soon I realized that wasn’t the case. I started not caring about homework and I would fall asleep in class also I would skip classes at least once a week. At the end of the school year I almost had all c`s and below. In 8th grade nothing changed till the end of the year. The whole year I had this attitude that it was the last year to get bad grades. But by the end of the year my mom said

that next year I had to get good grades or I would be grounded the whole summer. To quote her “If you don’t get you butt in line you will be grounded the whole year”

Then the next school year rolled around and I started to pick things up again. I had finally
