My Mistake: The Electric Boogaloo

When I make a mistake, I tend to work myself up over it and get sad and scared. After reading Electric Boogaloo, I’ve realized how much these mistakes really matter in life. They are like building blocks to better yourself. And besides, nobody really cares if you messed up when you were younger, they just laugh (not in a rude way). Sometimes, mistakes can even help you make a friend. The three ways that the Electric Boogaloo helped me feel good about my mistakes were that the mistakes don’t change your future too much, don’t focus on the bad things, and that no one thinks about your mistakes that much. Let me go into detail. When you screw up in front of everyone, it’s one of the worst feelings in the world. Reading the Electric Boogaloo gave a different perspective on these situations. Seeing how someone was been embarrassed when they were younger, and how it’s affected them growing up, I feel so much better. It gives me a good feeling that whatever my mistake was, it probably won’t matter. This is a big lesson that I hope everyone will understand when they read this story. …show more content…
I learned that all people really do is just look back at them and laugh. The only way they’ll really do anything is if you let them. For example, if you remember something and you always bring it up in conversations, people won’t really care, or they will laugh at you like they think you’re stupid. In the story, the narrator avoided this and grew up to be a successful adult. Right now, I’ve mostly forgotten about my mistakes and just joke about them. What I’m trying to say is, don’t center your life on mistakes, focus on the good
