One of the strengths of my personal work on my summative project was my confidence. I was confident in what I was doing throughout the entire thing and I did not shy away from any role. I had the confidence to step up and do difficult tasks. For example, I was portrayed as Tim, and he talks in an odd accent which is quite difficult to maintain, so no one really wanted to play the part, but I was sure that I had it in me to portray that role effectively. Confidence played a huge role in the success of this project. Another strength for me personally that I am quite proud of is my script writing. I had set a goal at the beginning of the semester to improve my script writing, and I am very happy to say I have achieved it. The parts of the script that I wrote were detailed, structured, and grammatically correct. For example, I wrote the beginning choral reading, and I had included all appropriate parts such as the names of people being capitalized and bolded, stage directions, appropriate parenthesis for stage directions, and italics when necessary. I developed my confidence in very classical and basic ways. Whenever I had to act out a character I practiced in front of a mirror, in fact, I still do. This helps me visualize what I look like to the crowd and assists me in fixing things that I don’t like such as my body language being too tense or my facial expressions not being in context with my body language. If I am happy with the way I present my character it boosts up my confidence a lot. I also practice with my family. Sometimes on game nights, we play charades.
