Narration: I really enjoyed this pattern of development and knowing how to use properly use it now I feel I can control it use. Prior to this class I feel I wrote regularly in narration and did not seem to understand how it could be a blessing and curse. Writing in this method is very helpful when I am trying to explain a personal story or to incorporate a backstory to an issue. However I now know that I have previously used this in writing that it was not needed and it devalued my work. For example in my process analysis I used narration to recount a few moments of my life in order to help people know what my day was like. In my pre-writing I think I went too far into it and lost sight of my purpose of this particular assignment. I now know what kind of writing narration is more useful for. I can see myself using this more in college when I am needing creative writing pieces or perhaps on a personal memoir. Maybe even a blog. I do enjoy this type of writing as I have many stories about my life I enjoy sharing.
Description: being able to write a piece using description is slightly more challenging for me than narration but I enjoy it equally.
