Heart disease

the heart is vital to life as it pumps blood to all cells and tissues of the body carrying oxygen and nutrients. If the pu mping action of the heart is sub optimal, vital organs can suffer and the overall health of a person is in danger.
There are many kinds of heart disease which affect the heart in different ways, however what they have in common is that through one mechanism or another they disrupt the vital pumping action of the heart.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. although heart disease is sometimes thought of as a "man's disease.
Heart disease can affect people of all ages.

The sign and symptom of heart disease is Chest pain, shortness of breath and pain, numbness, weakness and coldness in the arms and legs. Having high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes puts you at risk for developing heart disease.

A healthy diet, exercise, quitting smoking and, if needed, losing weight. Medicines include blood thinners, ACE inhibitors, statins, and calcium channel blockers, among others. Some cases are treated with bypass surgery to reroute blood flow to the heart or with angioplasty, which is a procedure to expand narrowed arteries.

In conclusion, fruit and vegetables should be eaten as part of a balanced diet, as a source of vitamins, fibre, phytochemicals, and water. Substitution of harmful foods with fruit and vegetables might reduce CVD events and provide a basis for public
