When at my agency the NASW code of ethics that I can identify with and that relates to my competency is having cultural competence and social diversity. When dealing with clients I am aware that our clients are going to be different in regards to marital status, religion, race, ethnicity, age, gender and disabilities. I am proactive in regards to this issue and have researched the community I serve as well as having conversations with my supervisor as well as other workers to obtain more insight to the different diversities that our agency serves.
