After spending some time in the region of Lakonia, we were now headed towards the region of Argolis.

NAFPLIO

Nafplio is a charming seaport town that was actually the capital city of Greece between 1823 and 1834. This town is byfar the prettiest and most romantic towns in all of Greece. It has a beautiful location, narrow cobblestone alleys, lively squares, neoclassical mansions, quayside cafes, posh boutiques, cute hotels, elegant Venetian houses, and an overall fun atmosphere. Sadly, we didn't have enough time to really explore the region, however it's a must-see town when in Greece.

We arrived in Nafplio late evening. We checked into our hotel called the Nafsimedon Hotel to freshen up before dinner. The hotel we booked was honestly so cute! It was located near the beach and only steps away from Kolokotronis Park and Port of Nafplio. It also had a

. Once again, the food was delicious!

After dinner we then explored the town by making our way to Syntagma Square. This is where the town all seemed to have been gathered as it was booming with life. The alleyways were adorned with historic buildings, monuments, bougainvillea trees, Turkish fountains, boutiques, ice cream parlors, and cafes.

Soon after we decided to head back to our hotel, as the following day was to be quite busy. I wish we had more time to really take in this town because it had many museums, restaurants, and even a castle that I would have loved to visit. Nafplio is a beautiful town, and I know the next time I'm in Greece, it will definitely be on my itinerary.

EPIDAURUS

We left Nafplio quite early in the morning for Epidaurus, which was a 30 minute drive, to visit the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus.
