From back home in Van Wert Ohio, my mother made sure she texted me multiple times about voting. Therefore I decided to make a surprise visit on November 5th. Though voting was not the main reason why I went home, but it was a reason. Throughout my mothers excitement of me coming home, she insisted that we go vote early immediately. So we took a good drive around town and ended up at the Van Wert Board of Elections. It was a small place where I hadn’t been before. There were two rooms and it the place seemed pretty empty. This was quite strange because both my mom and stepdad said to me that it had been packed the times they've drove by. I managed to fill it out and hand it to the woman helping me get set up. After I handed it to her she told me I had to sign it with pen. So I hesitated, thinking she would hand me the pen in her hand to sign it with but I was wrong. She made sure to make me feel unobservant by crudely saying that there was a cup of pens to my left. Though it was off putting, I disregarded it and sat down after to wait for her to fill out the rest. The woman helping my mother called out, “Amy?”, and began talking to my mom while laughing about how she thought she lost my mom. While I sat a little longer, expecting someone to say Gavin, I noticed a glare from behind the table, it was the woman helping me earlier. So I took that as a sign that she was done filling out my information and went up to her. She then described that there was voting on both sides of the form that could be filled out. Due to the fact that I messed up last time, I figured I’d reach for a pen to fill out the form (totally forgetting that there were pencils in the booth) and was immediately snipped at with her saying, “IN
