To my darling Amber, This is a story you have probably been told by your father but please read this for me. From the beginning, you were never supposed to make it. I spent countless nights worrying about you before you were even born. You see I was told that I was going to have a miscarriage. They could not find you or your heart beat in not just one but three ultrasounds. So they gave me an option to wait it out or take a pill... I waited. I could not accept that I would never be able to hold you or to see you smile. To teach you all the things I know or to see you grow up into the beautiful woman you are now. I spent three weeks waiting for the day I would lose you forever. But it never came. I had called my doctor and they had made it clear that I had no other option but to come in and take this pill. I agreed on one condition. That they try one last time. One more ultrasound just to put my mind at ease. They fought me but I stood my ground. Something was not right.
