London, 10 December 2012 - Carbon Market Data, a European company providing carbon market research and IT services, publishes here the National Company Rankings 2011 of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme for the following countries: United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. These company rankings show the lists of the five biggest CO2 emitters per country, taking into account power plants and factories based on the respective national territory (i.e. this is not a EU-wide company ranking). These data are extracted from the EU ETS Companies Database, our proprietary corporate carbon tracking tool including more than 900 companies. Similar corporate carbon emissions data, calculated at national level, are available on demand for all 27 EU countries, as well as Norway.
