Ever since my eighth grade year when I witnessed someone I look up to, be inducted into the National Honor Society, I knew it was something I wanted to accomplish in my high school years. The National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students and it is a great honor to be eligible for induction into this prestigious organization. As a very hardworking, dedicated, and reliable student, I possess the required qualities such as scholarship, leadership, service, and character, which make me eligible for this Chapter of NHS.

I am not one to shy away from a challenge and this quality is shown within numerous academic achievements. From the time I began elementary school, I was always top of my class disregarding the fact that I was always a grade ahead of my age. Most recently, I accumulated a 4.65 GPA my freshman year while doing many extracurricular activites. I was apart of Model UN, where we traveled to New York to collaborate with other intellectuals from across the country forming resolutions that could solve universal problems. At the age of five, I began playing basketball and as the best player, everyone looked to me for help. Thenceforward my leadership skills have developed for the better and assisted in my overall growth as a person on and off the court. In spite of constantly being overlooked, school is one place I tend to lead the most. As an element of the student body council, I am given the opportunity to implement peers’ ideas into the school community making it more enjoyable for everyone.
