The National Security Entry-Exit Registration System (NSEERS) was a failure both strategically and ethically. It was a Port-of-entry registration targeted towards people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan and Syria including those who were born there and resided in other countries. It required males over the age of sixteen to directly register at the INS office before applying for any sort of visa. There were deadlines set for each group which varied holding different regions from the Middle East. One of the most well renowned activists is Pamela Geller. Geller is the President of the AFDI which stands for, the American Freedom Defense Initiative an anti-Islamic, pro-Israeli American organization. On July 2014, Geller along with the American Freedom Defense Initiative posted anti-Islamic ads on buses and local billboards all over Washington. These advertisements portrayed out of context quotes and interpretations of the Quran, falsely claiming the encouragement of hate towards the Jews. The ads quoted things such as “Killing Jews is Worship that draws us close to Allah” and others like “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel.
