When the European countries arrived to the New World, they brought with them lots of deadly diseases to the Native Americans. These disease caused many cultures and languages to be forever lost. These diseases killed 90% of the new world population. Also, these diseases brought centuries of suffering with the yellow fever and malaria in the Old World. The Europeans also suffered from the new diseases they brought from the Americas like malaria and syphilis. If these diseases did not destroy the populations of the Americas, overpopulation would be an even bigger problem
